This was BVSR24 in Friedrichshafen!

We at SeeSat e.V. were delighted to have welcomed you all to the BVSR Conference 2024 from 16.05.2024 to 19.05.2024 in Friedrichshafen!
We would like to review the four days here.

The conference opened on Thursday at the RV Campus of the DHBW Ravensburg. All BVSR e.V. clubs met for their general meeting. Here we discussed the past year and expanded our association with additional motivated member clubs. The conference was then officially opened and the first exciting presentations were given. Afterwards, we walked through Ravensburg in small groups and refreshed old friendships and fostered new ones – of course all equipped with their laptops for group photos.

On Friday, we visited Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and Space Tech Immenstaad GmbH in Immenstaad. This provided a first-hand insight into space technology and local engineering skills. The programme then continued at the Dornier Museum with the Student Space Forum. This brand new format enabled the BVSR associations to present themselves on a project exhibition. Of course, we from SeeSat e.V. were also well represented by our team with our exhibits from the energy system and the test mechanism for unfolding solar panels. The forum also featured booths from companies and institutions such as ASP Equipment GmbH and SpaceTech GmbH, the Centre for Advanced Studies and the ESA Business Incubation Centre. In addition, we enjoyed numerous exciting presentations by speakers from industry, research and student spaceflight, which guided us through the afternoon and evening.

The rest of the weekend, the RITZ and the FN Campus of the DHBW Ravensburg were dedicated to the BVSR Conference 2024. On Saturday, there were spontaneous SpaceUp presentations in a relaxed atmosphere between pizza and drinks. In addition, all participants were able to get involved in various engaging workshops. These included association-related topics, lunar simulation projects and a workshop on the Starlab space station. The day was rounded off with delicious burgers while chatting and exploring Friedrichshafen by night.

On Sunday, the conference came to an end and we continued the banner handover tradition that was started last year in Stuttgart. Next year’s BVSR conference 2025 will take place in Aachen. Darmstadt is also ready to host the conference in 2026. On Sunday, our legendary RULER prize was again awarded to honor the best experiences from (mis)fortunate turns in projects. After our final photo, it was time for a city tour through Friedrischshafen. Finally, we went on a historical hike through the former test site of the V2 rocket in Raderach.

It was a great pleasure for us to organise the BVSR Conference 2024. We must also thank the hard-working team of organisers at SeeSat e.V. for their strong and tireless efforts to make this event something to remember. Thank you all for coming and see you soon!

Ready for launch? We hope that with the BVSR Konferenz 2024 we were able to motivate you to get involved in student space projects and to be at the forefront of space travel. We are the future of space travel!

“Forum of Student Space” on the 17.05.2024 in the Dornier Museum

The Forum of Student Space debuts at the BVSR Conference 2024 in the Dornier Museum. Speaker with diverse backgrounds ranging from academia over student space projects until the space industry present topics they are passionate about. Further, there will be a company fair and a project exposition of BVSR member clubs. This event gives the possibility to connect with fellow space enthusiasts both inside and outside the German student space world – all accompanied by tasty food and drink in the Dornier Museum in Friedrischshafen.

OPening & Plenum of Clubs

On the first day, the conference will be officially opened and a plenum of the clubs of the BVSR e.V. will be held.

Friday 17.05.2024

Company VisitS & Public Event in the Dornier Museum

On Friday, you will have the chance to visit aerospace companies in the region of the Lake of Constance. This is followed by a public event in the Dornier Museum full of exiting keynotes and the possibility to engage and connect with fellow students and representatives of the industry, science and politics.

Workshops & Collaborations

In different workshops you can bring all your ideas together for a disussion. Afterwards, the results will be presented to the whole group. Here, you can engage freely to advance space!

Sunday 19.05.2024

Closing & CitY Tour Friedrichshafen

To round everything off, we will do a city tour through Friedrichshafen.
